The troop will camping at the Ruritan Hall this month. We'll spend the weekend doing service work, competitions and other fun activities. Tentative plans activities include:

Friday night bonfire to burn the limbs / trees cut by the Ruritans
Saturday morning: Adopt-A-Highway
Saturday afternoon: Shed modifications and troop gear clean up
Saturday afternoon: Chopped Scout cooking competition
Saturday night: Flag retirements
Sunday morning: Scouts Own service

All meals will be patrol style cooking. Cost of the campout will be $15 to cover food, propane, and other supplies.

Thanksgiving in the Woods campout at Ft Boykins. The troop will be holding our annual (early) Thanksgiving dinner with the troop and immediate families. We'll be working on merit badges and other advancement during the day on Saturday. Saturday afternoon we'll cook a turkey dinner with all the sides. Following dinner, guests are welcome to join the troop around the campfire. Dinner is planned for 5:30ish and all members of the troop and their immediate families are invited. Families attending are asked to bring a dessert to share and camp chairs. Masks or face coverings are required during times that we are unable to socially distance. The troop will be following all COVID guidelines established by the BSA and local/state health departments.

If you will be attending, please RSVP in Scoutbook and post a note stating number of family members attending (i.e., Austin + 2) so we know how much food to fix.
